| CTP Transport aggressively upgraded our fleet to meet all Port and State "Clean Truck" regulations prior to the January 1, 2010 deadline. Preparing for the future, we purchased the largest amount of brand new trucks in the Port of Oakland leading up to the deadline. These are the cleanest trucks on the road today. Unlike most trucking companies at the Port of Oakland that did not prepare, or procrastinated, we prepared early so our customers would have uninterrupted service. We did this without the use of government handouts. We did this without the use of gimmicks many other drayage companies used - questionable leases with drivers mis-classifying employees as independent contractors, forcing independent contractors to upgrade their trucks without any increase in pay, and other methods that try to skirt the law and ultimately will impair their ability to do business. We did it the right way because we plan on being here for a long time to service the needs of our customers. We have been ready, and will be there for you! In addition to having the 'greenest' fleet at the Port of Oakland, we pride ourselves on our outstanding service. Many trucking companies will make you promises, but in the end, you are left waiting. You will hear trucking companies talk about service, but when it comes to performance, you are left waiting. With today's economy, it is important that you are getting the service you are paying for. CTP Transport is different. CTP Transport aims to provide solutions to your intermodal needs. We will provide your company a level of service that will help you be successful. We will be your transportation partner, not just your trucking company. We will do this by improving communication channels, and by giving you our word. If you are looking for the cheapest carrier, then we probably won't be able to help you. It is often said "you get what you pay for" and we believe that to be true. There may be carriers out there who will do your work for less than CTP Transport, but it is unlikely they will do it better or be compliant with Port and State regulations in the future.
